I drink water but…..

Ahhhhhhh…………….we all know that lovely feeling of quenching your thirst with fresh cold water. It’s not the same feeling as quenching your thirst with a nice cold glass of Coke but I think you know what I mean, right?

I drink water every single day. Some times alot and other times not so much. It’s definitely something I will remember to drink efficient amounts of for those hard hours I put in at the gym. Apparently it is good for your skin and it’s important for your body so you won’t end up dehydrating from lack of fluid. After all a human body does consist of 55% to 77% water so you would definitely need a refill for your body. However too much of everything is never good for you. That goes for water as well since you can actually die from drinking too much water.

Obviously during those hot days of summer your body will definitely lose its share of water so you will need to keep your body hydrated so you won’t shut down. Besides don’t you just enjoy taking a nice shower after a hard days of work or coming home after a hot sunny day? It feels so good to rinse and clean your body off all the dirt and sweat that’s been falling on your body the entire day. I know the ladies sure appreciate a nice tub filled with hot water. It‘s rather soothing and makes them all relaxed. How about when you’re sick and have a sore throat and you just know that a cup of hot tea with some honey in it will make you better? I do believe I read an article once that said you could go on for days and nights without any actual food but water is simply something you can’t live without.

Humans have even found ways to amuse ourselves with this element that covers around 71% of Earth’s surface. People take joy in doing things such as diving, swimming, surfing, sailing and fishing. I wouldn’t know the pleasure of such things since I’m strictly a land animal meaning I can’t swim. People who enjoy skiing, ice hockey and figure skating owe it all to water.

Like any good fashion trend, water always comes full circle. Water turns to ice, melts, vaporizes and turns to steam/clouds which eventually will cause rain that will make sure crops can grow and cause flowers and plants to blossom.

Needless to say you need H2O in your life since it’s essential to every life form on Earth.

But……………….
as much as water is all around me and I can’t live without it I have a huge issue with water when it comes to those two things I normally wear on my feet. My poor sneakers! The kryptonite to all sneakers. What in the hell is up with that? Why is that something so important for your body can also be the ultimate death blow to those two lovely creations of art on your feet? Remember, you have to take care of your sneakers since they carry you around for a lifetime. I know it’s actually your feet but they need some fresh sneakers on them.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury I present to you exhibit A: A fresh out the box Nike SB Dunk size 11. Looking mighty healthy upon birth and has that fresh aroma of new! Looks like it will grow up to have a bright future and it’ll make the owner and people around it very happy. Our young Nike SB Dunk was very happy with his owner and was taken out to so many places it felt like it couldn’t walk no more but then again these sneakers were made for walking. Actually I know SB stands for Skate Boarding but not really my point.

Exhibit B: After walking out and about on numerous occasions Nike SB also had to deal with the water from the skies……..Rain! The sneaker was actually ageing quite well since the owner made sure it got its daily shower, massages and tooth brushings. Unfortunately it has had its fair share of surprises when venturing out into the big wide world and being all happy and sunny and then being sucker punched by rain and you know who the loser is in that battle. It’s a cruel world out there and this is what we put our sneakers through on a daily basis.

Let’s be honest people, how many times have you not been thinking about calling in sick simply because it’s raining and you just can’t seem to bring out your sneakers out in that terrible weather? I think every job contract should have a rule that allows you to stay home and get paid whenever rain prevents you from leaving your house in your new sneakers.

Wishful thinking? I know. How about water supply companies putting down their prices on their bottled water since that business is quite lucrative? The prices for bottled water are definitely way over the top. Some people have even started to make their own special designed bottles of water and charging well over $100 a pop. What the hell is up with that and what the hell is wrong with people actually paying for that rubbish? That’s just plain stupid.

Put down the prices or we’ll stop buying water. Boss, pay me my wage and let me stay home whenever it isn’t sunny so my heart won’t lose a part every time a raindrop or snow flake hits my sneakers. We would be pretty (Spell the name on the bottle above backwards) if we believe any of those things will actually happen. For now I’ll have another glass of tap water, please.
