I’m glad that this is finally coming out.

Not just the DJ in Run DMC, Jam Master Jay’s effect as a producer, mentor and a&r is desperately under appreciated in the mainstream.

His death (and the nature of the unsolved murder) tends to lend comparisons to the Tupac and Biggie deaths – that’s not fair.

Hopefully the film will go some way to educating us all about the tradgedy.
