Ok I’ll make this quick.

Adidas have (in the past week or so) been releasing the most boring 2010 World Cup kits that I have ever seen!

I’m not expecting Armani out there in South Africa – but you can hardly tell the kits apart (except for the colours and tiny details).

Considering the World Cup and the Olympics are the only 2 global sporting events that anyone might still watch – logic would have been that Adidas would have brought their “A” game – pun fricking intended.

Kits used to be simple but also cool, especially…

The old school French kit;

Or the crazy Danish kit;

And the only boring kit allowed should be Brazil…because they’re sweet enough!

Meanwhile Puma, have kept it simple but brilliant with their colours, designs and stunning promo video;

How ‘cool’ the kits are makes a difference to how that country is perceived.

Denmark in 86, Cameroon with their sleeveless (and banned) shirts, Ivory Coast in their skin tight bright Orange numbers – they all played good, but looked good as well….

Not rocket science!
