I know, I’m getting old and all that..but I remember when these kicks first came out.

Back then…the whole myth about being able to jump a little higher is all we needed to fall in love with the shoe.

But you know what sealed it? When we saw Dee Brown do this (47secs) ;

Now Shawn Kemp should have won it…but Dee Brown left us with an iconic moment in sneaker history that beats anything that Reebok’s marketing team could ever have thought of.

Allow me quote my pal Laura who emailed me;

“Created in 1989 by Paul Litchfield and originally a basketball trainer, Pump had such impact that it’s unique technology was quickly used by Reebok for their tennis, running and football trainers.

Pump’s bold and distinctive design meant that they were quickly adopted as a fashion trainer and have ever since stayed atop cult sneaker trends.”

20 years later?
It’s still Dee Brown that reminds of the Reebok Pump series!

There’s a series of collabos going on in Europe to celebrate the anniversary.

The coolest one is the Pump N Seek treasure hunt will give sneakerheads the chance to win some ultra cool and rare Pump goods.

Of course there has to be the exclusive Pump 20 party, being held at an undisclosed London venue.

Pump N Seek treasure hunt will take place between 10th-19th November in London through the sneaker store Size?
