Sports and computer game trailers have little margin for error – so that’s why they’re often the most dynamic, creative and effective ads that we see.

But every so often – they miss a trick;

Case in point – Nike & Wayne Rooney;

Why? It matches what we think is the real persona of Rooney on the pitch. His aggressive style of play, the passion and the young genius in a potent English mix.

This…not so much;

Soft spoken, politically correct, well rehearsed…boring

    The overall message should really be that footballers shouldn’t be allowed to talk. Every time shit comes out anyway. We all know it gets much worse when they start writing books.

    agree with the article however, second ad lacked any sort of momentum or feeling, the first however has real class.
