I’ll be the first to admit that i’ve had a somewhat tumultuos relationship with Mr. West. Sometimes he get’s so wound up in his own hype, that i want to put him on permanent mute. Other times i have the opposite reaction to something the world hates, and i crank up the ‘Ye volume.

This is neither, because i’m sure people will both hate and love this. “This” being a short movie made by Kanye and Spike Jonze that also doubles as the video for “See You In My Nightmares” (eventhough it apparently wasn’t meant to) … and that’s where it gets interesting. Because nowhere in the film is the music ever the main player, it’s in the background, not always in it’s original form, and not even always there.

As in real live Kanye and his monster within is his own worst nightmare…
