Sometimes brands just simply can’t control how we find them and start liking them.

You can’t control chance, plain old luck or fate – sorry!

So I’ll share my experience with you!

I’m always on the look out for new stuff.
That’s what being Hip Hop (or Post Modernist) has always been about, everyone goes left? You go right and wait for everyone to notice.

Anyway, it was an iconic image that drew to the Crooks & Castles clothing line;

I thought the whole gangster Armani thing was great!

It was the same with Famous Stars and Straps who got my attention with this design;

I noticed that not everyone knew about them (always a good sign for guys like me) and therefore not everyone was wearing them (even better!!). They were occupying that very rare air which brands like LRG, Roxy, Ecko, Baby Phat and others were in for a limited time – makers the cool stuff that is about to blow.

But…what do you do when that time as Flavor of The Month is over?
Marc Ecko took the Rhino and ran with it all the way a very successful clothing dynasty (I hope!), the guys at FUBU…not so much (just my opinion).

Well, you step your game up (from the tees and jeans blueprint) and come with a new collection that reflects the clothes that shows you have your finger on the pulse of what we want and need.

Basically, keep making good stuff and we’ll keep following.

I was expecting one thing, and they gave me something pleasantly different!
