Mr. Carter…

About to turn 40, he’s struggling to keep up with the kids. But nearing 40, truthfully the kids are struggling to keep up with him!
When rap music clawed a hold in the minds of the youth in the late 70′s and early 80′s, it was seen as the flavor of the month by a lot of the mainstream media. Maybe as wish full thinking.. well we don’t have to tell you that their wish didn’t come through.
Quite a few things have happened for Jay-Z over the last year. He topped the Forbes list of hip hop’s biggest earners. He left Def Jam, joined Live Nation, formed Roc Nation with Sony distribution and released “The Blueprint 3″
But can any of those things compete with this???
“Jay-Z is set to score his 11th American number one album, overtaking Elvis Presley as the solo artist with the most chart-toppers in US chart history.”
In the words of Mr. Carter himself…..
...I’m not a businessman, i’m a business maaan!
