What would you do…pt.2

Thanks to Hattie Collin’s blog for highlighting this cover..

We argued that magazines are dying
On one hand, I’m glad that a magazine with Vibe’s position in the ‘urban media universe’ has decided to dedicate their upcoming issue and over to the saga.
But my other feeling is that…they’re late.
‘Urban’ magazines (I can’t think of a better term) used to be the first place to turn to for the definitive view on political and social issues, culture, fashion and music
What should a magazine do? They can’t battle blogs and sites for the speed of reporting. So it’s all about more features and indepth articles – which are more challenging for the journalist and editor to achieve.
So how will Vibe tackle this and be different?
I’ll definitely go and get a copy to find out.

Vibe is one of the only, if not the only magazine that I still go and buy.
The features are always a good read.
Only problem is, like you have mentioned, is time. By the time the magazine hits the stand in the UK I could of read the features on the vibe website.
