The choice you could be presented with is this.. would you rather buy a new 15 inch Macbook Pro, or would you buy a brand new car? That’s the choice you could end up with very soon, especially if you plan to move to India… but the rest of the world will follow, don’t doubt it!!

The Tata Nano is of course not the most exclusive car in the world, you wont find any airbags, anti lock brakes or chrome 25 inch wheels here. But you will find a car, sitting on 4 wheels, that works.. and is the cheapest car in the world, beating the closet competitors with a healthy margain.

China’s Cherry QQ car sells for about $4800, India’s Suzuki Maruti 800 for about $5000 and the Nano for about $2500 in it’s basic version.

The arguments against the Nano are many… The one you hear the most is the enviromental one. Is it a good idea to sell a car this cheaply to nation of bike riders. The simple answer is yes.

Why you may ask… Well, do you remember these cars??

The Trabant, Mini, Corolla, Beetle, Fiat 500, Skoda Favorit, 2CV and Camper. Where would the world be without those cars today?

Did they contribute to the worlds pollution problem? Yes! Did they help shape the world as it is today? Yes!
