A New Yorker without his Knicks!?
Time Warner Cable what are you doing?
I have been watching the New York Knicks on the MSG network for as long as I can remember. From the days of Walt Frazier playing on the basketball court to the days in which he is an announcer on MSG.
I’m more furious than ever because as soon as the NBA season starts, Time Warner chooses to drop the Dolan Family’s AMC network Inc, which includes the MSG network.
The dispute leaves the AMC network without 7.8 million subscribers and more importantly they are leaving 18,897,109 New Yorkers without the Knicks. Oh and if anyone cares about hockey they are leaving you guys without the Rangers aswell!
On top of all of that, the AMC network also includes their music network, Fuse, that has a talk show called Talking With Strangers with music giant Cee Lo Green as the host.
Like I said I am more than furious especially because the NBA lockout took this long to end and as soon as it does end, the channel that represents the most famous arena in the world is on hold.
Madison Square Garden first opened for the public on February 11, 1968 and ever since it has become the longest active major sporting facility in the New York metropolitan area, and the home of the New York Knicks as well as very talented acts like The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley (and the mecca of boxing- Ed.).
This means that Knicks fans in the NYC metropolitan area will be missing about 4 games a week till this dispute is resolved.
I’m serving notice to both Time Warner Cable and the Dolan Family to resolve this quick, because you really don’t want Knicks fans to be angry with you!
But then again Knicks fans will get their Knickerbockers, even if it means illegally streaming it or purchasing more tickets to see them live.
Go Knicks!
