Christmas time always means a lot of lights, men dressed up as Santa ringing their bells and, like Rob posted, Santa commercial. Some classic commercials always run like the Coca Cola ones and the great M&M’s ones that has Santa and the red M&M fainting but then you got some of the worst commercials that make you think the purpose of Christmas is to just make money and sell products. An example of this is the horrible Christmas commercial by rapper turned businessman 50 cent.

Living a life that was filled with a lot more naughty than nice, you would think 50 wouldn’t do a commercial that is so dreadfully animated and since when is 50 seen as the person that helps someone. Most of the time we see 50 as the career killer when is comes to dissing artists like Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Jadakiss and the Game. We also know 50 for his ridiculous tweets like his ones about the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and ensuing tsunami that had hit Japan.

With the stupid Street Kings energy brand and ignorant tweets about a serious matter, you would think 50 would be done with the absurd brands and publicity stunts but then he pulls out a brand of over the ear Headphones called the Syncs and Streets by SMS Audio. Just seems a little copycat of 50 for putting out headphones when everyone knows that Dr. Dre has taken over that market. I must say that I respect 50 for giving part of the profits to charity but that’s just another way to sell your product these days. You have the money 50, so just donate your own money to charity instead of creating a company that gives part of the profit. Most important word in that sentence is PART of the profit.

Being from New York, I respected 50 as a rapper when he first came out and I even repped G-Unit when it came to the beefs that they had with rappers but his recent business schemes have not only disappointed me but also pissed me off. Here’s some advise from a New Yorker that loves hip hop and was a fan of yours, 50 stick to your day job and you might not disappoint people because everyone knows that Christmas time is never a disappointment.
