Samsung & Nokia strike back at the Apple empire!
In the past few days Samsung & Nokia has hit me hard with two examples of marketing/advertising/strategy that could finally have me considering a new phone that isn’t named after a fruit.
First was this;
Samsung say what even iPhone 4s users would have to admit – the hype around the upgrade was never fully justified.
Then this totally blew me away;
There’s been some great examples of 3-4d animation on a building, Hyundai did a great stand out version (here).
And even if Deadmau5 is the flavor of the month, the music is brilliantly used.
With one clever advert quickly produced to take advantage of a well timed insight and another amazingly intricate event. both brands made me stop, think and consider having a closer look at both of them.

I think the Samsung is cool. I don’t get why you like the Nokia.
Granted, the production value of the projection on the building is cool, but there isn’t really anything new under the sun. To me it is just (yet another) filmed event. Honestly I wouldnt have finished watching it if it wasnt because you posted it and i was waiting for the wow-moment. But maybe I am missing something?
